Embedded - Fabio Battistetti

Stories are embedded into objects and places. This is a diary in the form of soundscape portraits. They are of places where I have been in the last 3 years. Places that left a sign inside myself, sometimes intense, sometimes ephemeral, but the sound of those places and the objects that produced them have remained.

One place in particular has directed the composition: the altitude 918 meters above sea level, the highest point of the volcano and Stromboli island in the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands, in Sicily. There, the earth, in the form of volcanic eruption. The recordings in the composition phase were treated as loops and mixed in a specific way for each track and thanks to a particular software I interacted with the loops (recording), in real time.

Le storie sono incorporate all'interno degli oggetti e dei luoghi. Questo è un diario nella forma di ritratti di paesaggio sonoro, di luoghi in cui sono stato negli ultimi 3 anni, luoghi che hanno lasciato in me un segno, a volte intenso, a volte effimero, ma il suono di quei luoghi, degli oggetti che li hanno prodotti è rimasto. Un luogo in particolare ha diretto la composizione: quota 918 metri sul livello del mare, il punto più alto del vulcano ed isola di Stromboli nell'arcipelago delle isole Eolie, in Sicilia. Lì, la terra, nella forma di eruzione vulcanica raccontava. Queste registrazioni durante le fasi di composizione sono state trattate come dei loop e mixate in modo specifico per ogni traccia grazie ad un particolare software per interagire con il loop (registrazione), in tempo reale.
