This album is based on recordings made in the Biosphärenreservat Spreewald, Germany.

We rode on our motorbikes down to the location. Are minds were clear and we had nothing to stop our mission: to collect sounds in readiness for a collaborative album. Mika is a photographer and I am an amateur sound recordist. For this work we swapped places and separated for the day as we wondered around the location. I took photos and Mika collected the sound recordings.

I don't know when we will work together again but one thing is for sure, I will continue with photography and Mika seems keen to continue with sound recording.

The following words were in my mind as we came back home. They are connected with this project in so much as they wouldn't leave me alone after my return.
