Bio:
Simon Šerc was born in 1972 in Koper (Slovenia). He studied at the Faculty of Computer Science and Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. He has been exploring sound and video since 1990. His audio/video projects have taken him to a number of international festivals (Expo 2000, Festival Natures, DigitalBigscreen, Scanline, Art&Music, Break 21, Sguardi Sonori, etc.). Simon is the founder and protagonist of the Pharmafabrik Recordings publishing company. In 2015, he took part in the festivals Instants Numerique e Poetique in France and Black & White in Portugal. In the USA, he presented his sound sculpture at the festival Gravity Assist and participated in the Sediment Arts project dedicated to planet Pluto. In November, the Slovenian Innovation forum selected his interactive Brainwave Sound System among 40 of the best innovations.

Beautifully recorded soundscapes of a forest full of life. But the liner notes say: "Tragically this area was chopped dead less than a year after the recordings took place." Another environment lost, with only memories and recordings surviving. William Denton
