Perfectly captures the feeling of a special place in nature as a gateway to the numinous. I especially enjoy hearing the voices of the animal visitors, like the whippoorwill, who in this context seem very much like messengers from another world (as Indigenous peoples have long viewed them). As a maniac for grave sounds and metallic sounds, I am of course full of happiness! The squeaking of the wheels of the trains and the horns of the boats are omnipresent and for me it is wonderful. The work is nonetheless full of subtleties with these arrangements that suggest a kind of titanic dialogue between these metal monsters! Congratulations to Mathieu Ruhlmann & Joda Clément, and also to Daniel Crokaert for this beautiful cover! drone2805
I happened to purchase this, my first Haptic album, while revisiting the fantastic Dan Simmons novel “The Terror”. I can recommend no better soundtrack for a frozen, organic, novel of hope, despair and terror. Look forward to more from this fantastic artist! tom the terrible
Utah field recordist Alex Green makes a call for global unity on this uplifting, deeply textured ambient sound collage. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 15, 2021
THE INTENSITY HERE IS DAZZLING AND I AM LITERALLY STUNNED! Record sampling seems to be the whole work, but field recording is used more as a raw material for a truly great composition. The tone is at once dark, mysterious, volcanic, stormy and fierce. It suggests persistent assaults, a difficult survival in shock in this ruthless environment that still contains many difficulties that can be seen in strange signs. Two thumbs up! This work is at the first place in my Unfathomless collection! drone2805
