Near Space World 20:20 Recorded during autumn 2018, at the back of a golf driving range, between several busy train lines. The audible theme park, Space World has since closed down while the construction of the bypass which can be also be heard in the recording, is now completed. The unusual sound (16:40) is a long hollow plastic pipe that intermittently rotates around the floor of the golf course to clear the balls that have gathered there. This recording is loud in places and has been limited to -3.5 db. The map is of the area in which the recording was made 33.879109, 130.812492

Signing up for the Kevin Drumm playlist pays for itself so many times over that it's laughable. He also proves he can compete in the Chris Watson/ BJ Nilsen universe. unruh2525

What sounds like mysterious studio-made noises turns out to be a composition of delicate recordings made underwater in a shallow harbour. A great kind of ambience. Michael Upton (Jet Jaguar)
