The Autumns Beginning Sound.

There is an event that announces the arrival of autumn in Monfragüe National Park, “La Berrea”. The male rutting deers emit a sound that fill the silence in the forests where they live, “la Dehesa Extremeña”. Soon they begin to fight each other, seeking to impress females who are yet ready to conceive a new generation of this beautiful and magestic animal.

In this little piece we can hear many roars, the different tone and intensity reveal the height of the deer behind that roar. We can also listen to different calls of birds and fish jumping in
the river. For recording (held for several days) I used a combination formed by a pair of Fostex MC10 in X-Y configuration; and, to focus concrete sounds on the center, a Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic were used. The recorder was a Tascam DR-70D capturing 96kHz / 24bit
audio.

El sonido del comienzo del Otoño.
Hay un aconteciminto que anuncia la llegada del otoño en tierras de Monfragüe, la berrea.
Los machos de ciervo en celo emiten sonoros bramidos que colman el silencio en los
bosques que habitan; pronto empezarán a combatir entre sí, buscando impresionar a las
hembras que ya se encuentran listas para concebir una nueva generación de esta
preciosa especie.
En esta pequeña pieza podemos escuchar multitud de bramidos, la diferente tonalidad e
intensidad delatan el porte del venado que lo emite. También podemos escuchar
diferentes cantos de aves, así como saltos de peces en el río.
Para la grabación (llevada a cabo durante varios días) he utilizado una combinación
formada por un par de Fostex MC10, en configuración X-Y; y para focalizar en el centro
sonidos concretos un cañón de Rode, el NTG-2. El grabador es un Tascam DR-70D
capturando a 96kHz/24bit.
